Your 2-day Morocco Sahara desert tour begins with an early pickup from your accommodation or the airport in Fes. Heading south, we pass through Imouzzer on our way to Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco due to its alpine-style houses and snowy winters. Next, we visit the cedar forest, home to Barbary macaques, where you can enjoy feeding them in their natural habitat. We then continue to Midelt for a relaxing lunch break before continuing our journey through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and along the Ziz River, taking in breathtaking landscapes along the way. By the afternoon, we arrive at the Merzouga Sahara Desert, where you'll switch to camels for an unforgettable ride across the dunes. We'll pause on a high dune to admire the stunning sunset before continuing to the desert camp. Here, you’ll experience a magical night with Berber drum music, dancing around a campfire, and gazing at the endless starry sky. Dinner and overnight in the camp.
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara, followed by breakfast at camp. Afterward, we ride the camels back to Merzouga, where our driver awaits. Leaving the desert behind, we head to Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet, known for its bustling traditional market, especially lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After a stroll through the souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit a fossilized marble workshop, showcasing the region’s ancient geological treasures. Next, we follow the Ziz River, stopping at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the lush Ziz Valley. We then travel back through the cedar forest and Ifrane, arriving in Fes by evening. Finally, we drop you off at your accommodation or the airport, marking the end of your desert adventure.
